Salisbury’s CARSICK release new single “Put It Down”

Salisbury rockers CARSICK have released a new stand-alone single, “Put It Down” via Alcopop! Records.

The track is a breakup song, both from the perspective of the person experiencing the heartbreak and the friend trying to help them through it. The band says that they wanted to capture the uniquely tumultuous state of mind a situation like that can put you in, especially if it's happening to you for the first time.

CARSICK recently released their debut EP Drunk Hymns, which is out now in either standard digital edition, or extended 12" vinyl on Salisbury orange featuring an exclusive Side B which contains all of the band's previously digital-only release tracks.

Commenting on the track the band said:

“Put It Down', first and foremost, is a breakup song, both from the perspective of the person experiencing the heartbreak and the friend trying to help them through it. All of us in the band have been in both positions at one point or another and we wanted to capture the uniquely tumultuous state of mind a situation like that can put you in, especially if it's happening to you for the first time. It's not an accident we're dropping it in September, either—we want this track to feel like the end of summer. If you're going through it, this one's for you ❤️.”

CARSICK will be supporting the release of “Put It Down” with an extensive run of UK headline dates this September/October, as well as appearing at Barnstomper Festival, Attitude Festival and Left of The Dial later this year.

The band's live shows are known for their energy and unpredictability, and they are sure to put on a great show for fans of punk rock and indie music alike.
