dead nice announce debut EP Obscene and free entry show
Leicester melodic punk newcomers dead nice are proud to introduce themselves with the announcement of their debut EP Obscene, coming 13 October.
Built on lifelong friendships forged in Leicester's music community, dead nice bandmates John Conyers and Mike Manger first met playing in Leicester band, Freefallfelix. Parting ways to explore separate projects, the pair kept floating the idea of coming back together to play music again.
Making the idea a reality, the paid reconnected with old Freefallfelix acquaintances Ed Bramford and Edd Stockton, and producer Dave Tidmarsh, to initially attempt to write and record an entire song from scratch in just a day. One (very) long day later, dead nice was formed.
Their debut single, Occupier, is out now.
Commenting on lead single 'Occupier', influenced by Alexisonfire and Stray From The Path, vocalist John Conyers said:
“The lyrics to 'Occupier' are written from the perspective of someone being left alone, throwing caution to the wind, and running riot after making a series of mistakes. It's a song about letting go, not wanting to be saved and giving up.”
The quintet will be playing their debut live performance with a free entry show at The Soundhouse, Leicester on 14 October with support from Enderby and Produkty.
