Last night’s episode of The Scene with me your host Thom with an H, was another banger of a show featuring the likes of Scowl, Orchards, and Kid Bookie as well as unsigned spotlight tracks from Post Archives and Caper.

In honour of the fact that it was our 69th show, I couldn’t think of anything better than to kick everything off with “Cream & Sugar” by Just Friends. “Cream & Sugar” comes from Just Friends' brilliant album Gusher which came out last year. Following “Cream & Sugar” by Just Friends, the first half of the show showcased tunes from Wynona Bleach, FAST BLOOD, BERRIES, and our first unsigned spotlight track the brilliant “Made Out Of Goo” by Post Archives. You can catch Post Archives live at Delicious Clam in Sheffield on the 18th of the month. Before the news break, I wrapped up the first half with the post-hardcore ripper “Life As A Contact Sport” by Ritual Error. “Life As A Contact Sport” comes from Ritual Error’s debut album Dial The Ghost which is out early next month

Post-news break, I resumed with the brilliant “All In My Head” by The Linda Lindas. “All In My Head” comes from The Linda Lindas’ brilliant new album No Obligation which came out on Friday. After “All In My Head” by The Linda Lindas the second half of the show packed the punches with tracks from Lips Speak Louder, Fashion Club, Esme Emerson, and our second unsigned spotlight the awesome “Drinking of You” by Caper. “Drinking of You” is the title track of Caper’s brand-new EP. Wrapping up this week's show was a beautifully haunting slice of Americana “My Beautiful Girl” by Boise’s finest Youth Lagoon. “My Beautiful Girl” alongside Youth Lagoon’s other recent single “Lucy Takes A Picture” has been released as a limited edition 7” vinyl that you can purchase from his Bandcamp page.
