Haunt the Woods release evocative new single "The Line, Pt. II"

Alt-rock quartet Haunt the Woods have released their evocative new single "The Line, Pt. II", from their upcoming second album, Ubiquity, coming 29 September via Spinefarm.

This is an album we’re really looking forward to, and thoroughly excited by every teaser. The new single, reprising themes from the band's first EP, The Line, explores the feeling of being drained by the relentless struggle to survive.

A sonic departure from the previous singles - each featuring larger-than-life vocals, riffs, atmosphere and melodic lines - “The Line, Pt. II” shares yet another dimension of maturity from this relatively young group. It’s rare to select a ballad as a single, and doing so continues to showcase the bands versatility while staying true to their core, as the song builds and swirls into their quintessential full sound.

Talking about “The Line, Pt. II” the band says:

“As we grow older, society and the unrelenting struggle to survive seems to drain the colour out of life, leaving a grey, monochromatic existence. Perhaps if we reconnected with the beauty of life and had the time to find peace of mind, the colour would return. In glimpses it does.”

With two warmly received EPs and a debut album, the stage is set for Haunt the Woods’ overdue introduction to the world, which began with their stunning new single "Fever Dream". Cinematic in scope, operatic in texture, new album Ubiquity is a fitting illustration of the band's prowess and talent.

We cannot wait.
