Point North gets honest with new mental health anthem “Psycho”

Alternative rock band Point North is keeping it real with a vulnerable new anthem, "Psycho." The song was penned about vocalist Jon Lundin's own personal experience battling mental health issues, panic attacks, and how those closest to him center him through tumultuous times.

The band added a chromatic verse progression and incorporated more instrumentation and production elements that really emphasized the 'panic' element, and it's a track of solidarity for anyone who has experienced panic attacks themselves.

Point North's Jon Lundin says of the new track, "This song has to be one of the most meaningful songs to me. It's based on my personal experience with anxiety and a panic attack. It felt impossible to explain to my wife as she would just watch me go through it. So, this song is sort of a letter to her about what it's like to live inside my head, how sometimes I can feel like a burden or a liability, and how something out of my control can ruin an experience or a special memory."

The track arrives ahead of the bands sophomore studio album: Prepare For Despair out 18 August.
