“Take A Ride” with the brand new single from The Young Hearts
Kent melodic punks The Young Hearts have released their brand new single “Take A Ride” on Year Of The Rats Records.
“Take A Ride” is about the realisation that it's ok to let loose every now and then, no matter what age you are, or whatever situation you find yourself in at the time. Life's got this knack for dragging you down, but when it's time to ditch the weight, nothing beats diving headfirst into those absolutely insane and off-the-wall nights.
Talking about "Take A Ride" singer Criage Lawercence states.
"It's easy to get caught up in the more mundane aspects of life, going to work, paying bills, and generally just trying to get by as an adult in this day and age. The older you get, the more those responsibilities take over, and the harder it is to break the cycle every now and then.
It's no secret to the people close to me that I like a drink. I'm not going to pretend that it's the best way of dealing with everyday life, but for me it's a means of escape every once in a while. “Take A Ride” stems from a train journey home after a particular night out in London. I'd had no sleep, was wearing the same clothes from the night before, sunglasses on, head down. I felt like death, and it was easy to be hard on myself in that state, but after a while, you come to realise it's the nights like this that allow us to forget about the pressures of day to day life, and re-capture our youth in some way."
Since their formation, The Young Hearts have graced stages alongside the likes of Can't Swim, Junior, and Mallory Knox. The infectious “Take A Ride” shows that The Young Hearts are ready for the next step of their musical journey.
