Kite Thief release new single “The Tide” and announce signing to Year Of The Rats Records
Bristol’s Kite Thief have released new single “The Tide” and announced signing to Year Of The Rat Records. Fresh from storming performances at 2000 Trees Festival and Wildfire Festival the candy metal five-piece have started the next phase of their musical journey.
Vocalist Elin Allan on the song:
"When we were writing '“The Tide”, I don't think I realised how much this song was a cry for help. It's such an energetic, in your face song and I was so angry at this point in my life that I honed in on a very cutthroat approach to life. I had just gone through a huge, very tough break up and was having one of the lowest points in my life. And with time, now it's finally released, I think I have accepted that anger and turned it into power."
We were lucky enough to catch Kite Thief fresh from their electrifying performance as this year’s 2000trees, where the band hinted about the tone of this new single and the inspirations behind it.
