Last night’s episode of The Scene with me your host Thom with an H, was another banger of a show featuring the likes of Filth is Eternal, Orchards and Middleman as well as unsigned spotlight tracks from Sunny Side Down and SPOOKY HUGE.

I opened the show with a complete and utter banger “The Tea’s Not So Sweet When You’re The Mug” by WALWIN. If you want to hear more from WALIN the deluxe version of their album The Prius Diaries: A Hybrid Story is out next Friday. Following “The Tea’s Not So Sweet When You’re The Mug”, the first half of the show showcased tunes from PEOPLEVIOLANCE, Loose Articles, Owen, and our first unsigned spotlight track, “Baby Teeth” the latest slice of awesomeness from Sunny Side Down. Before the news break, I wrapped up the first half with “Goodbye Forever” by one of faves ME REX. “Goodbye Forever” comes from ME REX’s forthcoming brilliant new EP Smilodon where they re-explore songs from their earlier Wooly Mammoth and Wooly Rhino EPs.

Post-news break, I resumed with “I Wanna Feel Calm” by Bears in Trees. “I Wanna Feel Calm” comes from Bears in Trees brilliant new album How to Build an Ocean: Instructions which starts a new era for the Croydon band. After "I Wanna Feel Calm," the second half of the show packed punches with tracks from Microwave, Meryl Streek, Defences, and our second unsigned spotlight track, “far from somewhere” by SPOOKY HUGE. Wrapping up this week's show was “King Cowboy” the amazing new single from Slow Joy. “King Cowboy” addresses the consequences of existing in a capitalist society and serves as our next taste of Slow Joy’s new EP Mi Amigo Slow Joy which is set to drop in June.
