Episode 59

Last night’s episode of The Scene with me your host Thom with an H, was another banger of a show featuring the likes of Lakes, Sunny Side Down and Orchards as well as unsigned spotlight tracks from JesseMelacholy and Bones Ate Arfa.

I opened the show with a brilliant slice of Pop Punk “Real Juicer Hours” by ACTION/ADVENTURE If you find yourself on the other side of the pond you can catch Action/Adventure at the Iowa Is For Lovers Festival on the 24th of the month. Following “Real Juicer Hours” by ACTION/ADVENTURE, the first half of the show showcased tunes from BERRIES, Problem Patterns, Kaonashi, and our first unsigned spotlight track the brilliant “wings” by JesseMelancholy. "wings," is the final teaser from JesseMelancholy debut EP does the skin i wear define me. Before the news break, I wrapped up the first half with the absolutely brilliant “Should've Been Me” by Destroy Boys. “Should've Been Me” comes from Destroy Boys forthcoming album Funeral Soundtrack Number 4.

Post-news break, I resumed with the brilliant “Dog Day (Ft. Sophie MacKenzie)” by Happy Accidents. Dog Day comes from Rich and Pheeb’s forthcoming new album Edit Undo. After “Dog Day (Ft. Sophie MacKenzie)” by Happy Accidents the second half of the show packed the punches with tracks from Supermilk, Ad Infinitum, WERX, and our second unsigned the awesome “Like A Dagger” by Bones Ate Arfa. You catch Bone Ate Arfa on various dates across the south of the UK this month. Wrapping up this week's show was Iron & Wine’s awesome cover of the American Football classic “Never Meant”. Iron & Wine’s cover of “Never Meant” comes from the Covers versions of American Football’s LP1 that comes out in October alongside a 25th anniversary remaster of the original album.
