The Callous Daoboys announce new EP, ‘God Smiles Upon The Callous Daoboys’

Atlanta six-piece The Callous Daoboys have announced their new EP, God Smiles Upon The Callous Daoboys, set for release on 20 October through MNRK Heavy and Modern Static Records.

The EP is a follow-up to their 2022 album, Celebrity Therapist, and sees the band taking their experimental noise to new heights.

The lead single from the EP, "Waco Jesus", is a crushingly heavy and infectiously melodic track that showcases the band's versatility. The song is about insecurity and projection, and features vocalist Carson Pace's signature deep vocals.

Vocalist Caston Pace says of “Waco Jesus”:

“Waco Jesus is about insecurity, projecting that insecurity and not doing anything to solve it regardless of how people are telling you to NOT be insecure. It's about being unable to take a compliment.”

The EP also features the tracks "Pushing The Pink Envelope" and "Designer Shroud Of Turin (Feat. pulses.)", which further explore the band's unique sound. "Pushing The Pink Envelope" is a chaotic breakdown-fest, while "Designer Shroud Of Turin" is a more melodic and atmospheric track.

The Callous Daoboys are known for their energetic live performances, and they will be supporting the release of the EP with a tour of North America this fall. They will also be heading to Europe in January 2024 for a tour with TesseracT and Unprocessed.
