The Plot In You recently embarked on a highly anticipated UK and EU tour, kicking things off with a bang at a sold-out show in London’s iconic Electric Ballroom on 6th September. Originally slated for the more intimate O2 Academy Islington, the venue was upgraded to the larger Camden location due to overwhelming demand, a clear indicator of the growing excitement surrounding the band's return. The night promised to be one for the books, with a lineup boasting powerhouse support from Acres and Invent Animate, two rising forces in the metalcore scene. Fans were treated to an unforgettable evening filled with crushing riffs, powerful vocals, and plenty of crowd singalongs.
Acres
Opening the night was Portsmouth's Acres, who set the tone with a captivating blend of melodic alt-rock and hard-hitting metallic breakdowns. Their emotionally charged lyrics paired with dreamy guitar work quickly resonated with the audience, sparking a wave of crowd surfers and singalongs. Acres wasted no time in warming up the crowd, their music weaving between moments of delicate emotion and raw, aggressive energy, a perfect lead-up to what was still to come.
Invent Animate
Texas-based Invent Animate took the stage next, bringing a darker, more industrial edge to the evening. Their sound, an intriguing mix of progressive metal and metalcore, pushed the energy even higher. Lead vocalist Marcus Vik's ethereal yet intense screams filled the venue, commanding the attention of the crowd as they exploded into movement.
