Aerial Salad announce new Album 'R.O.I.’

Manchester-based punk rockers Aerial Salad are back with a bang, gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated album R.O.I. via Venn Records on 12 April.

With their signature blend of Madchester vibes and punk ethos, the trio is set to unleash a sonic storm that promises to captivate audiences worldwide.

The album's lead single, “Tied To Pieces Of Paper”, dropped yesterday, offering a visceral glimpse into the band's frustration with the modern world's relentless pursuit of money and employment. Vocalist/guitarist Jamie Munro's raw, impassioned delivery coupled with frenzied instrumentals make for an electrifying anthem that resonates with the disenchanted and the creatively inclined alike.

Munro's says about the track:

“It’s inspired by something I read where Steve Ignorant from Crass was saying that basically, back in the day, humans had less reliance on money (not needing phones, broadband, and houses being affordable) meaning that, you could go and be a fuckin punk rocker and do a bit of cash in hand work and you'd be alright.

These days the world is so driven by money and thus, employment, the song is a shout out to everyone that’s still trying to do creative endeavours alongside managing a f**king job.”

Clocking in at 160 seconds of unadulterated punk energy, “Tied To Pieces Of Paper” is a blistering commentary on the struggles of balancing artistic passion with societal expectations.

Accompanying the single is a riveting music video that amplifies the song's intensity, offering viewers a visual feast of chaos and rebellion. Shot with a DIY aesthetic, the video encapsulates the band's raw authenticity and unapologetic ethos.

Recorded at Vibe Recording Studio in Manchester with producer Dean Glover, R.O.I. promises to be a genre-defying journey, seamlessly blending pulsating post-punk rhythms with anthemic stadium rock vibes. Tracks like “The Same 24 Hours (As Beyoncé)” and “Chances” showcase Aerial Salad's versatility, offering a sonic palette that ranges from Britpop influences to gritty punk anthems.
