Kite Thief release new single “Goldsick”

Bristol-based alternative pop metal band Kite Thief have released their new single "Goldsick" via Year Of The Rat Records.

The track is the follow-up to their recent single "The Tide". "Goldsick" is a high-energy, anthemic track that showcases the band's unique blend of genres. The song features soaring vocals, driving guitars, and pounding drums, creating a sound that is both catchy and heavy.

Vocalist Elin Allan on the song:

"When we finally decided to get new music going, we booked an air bnb with a hot tub in Devon, turned it into a studio and spent the weekend writing, drinking wine and chilling. This song was the first one we wrote, late at night, weirdly enough we were jamming some Jill Scott (the singer, not the footballer, but either way, slay) and this is what came out. Its working title was Hot Tub Time Machine, dedicated to our beloved warm and bubbly best mate for the weekend."

In addition to the release of "Goldsick", Kite Thief have also announced an 8-date UK headline tour for February/March 2024. The tour will kick off in Birmingham and will make stops in Bournemouth, Plymouth, Swansea, Bristol, London, Norwich, and Guildford.

We were lucky enough to catch Kite Thief fresh from their electrifying performance as this year’s 2000trees.
