Episode 40

Last night’s episode of The Scene with me your host Thom with an H, was another banger of a show featuring the likes of SUDS, Greywind, and Toodles & The Hectic Pity as well as unsigned spotlight tracks from TWIN SKELETONS and Shadow Smile.

I opened the show with “Wither” from cali-punks Grumpster, “Wither” is the lead single from the band’s forthcoming self-title album that comes out next month on Pure Noise Records. Following “Wither”, the first half of the show showcased tunes from Kite Thief, Aerial Salad, BEST EX, and our first unsigned spotlight track, "Make Me” by TWIN SKELETONS the track comes from TWIN Skeletons self-released EP Did You Get What You Wanted that came out this week. Before the news break, I wrapped up the first half with Marha’s cover of the Jimmy Eat World classic “Chrush”. Martha’s version of “Chrush” can be found on their surprise leap year release 7 inch Is Tomorrow Just A Day Like All The Rest? that came out via the mighty Big Scary Monsters.

Post-news break, I resumed with the new banger from FEVER 333 “READY ROCK” the track servers as teaser for the bands forthcoming second album due out later this year. After "READY ROCK," the second half of the show packed punches with tracks from Bored At My Grandma's House, Y Dail, Gaffa Tape Sandy, and our second unsigned spotlight track, “Hellbound Heart” by Shadow Smile, if you want to catch them live they a bunch of dates on their Signed In Blood Tour next month. Wrapping up this week's show was the psychedelic-tinged rock banger “Gone Like A Flower” by Club Kuru, “Gone Like A Flower marks” Club Kuru’s return after a five year hiatus.
