Last night’s episode of The Scene with me your host Thom with an H, was another banger of a show featuring the likes of Milly, Other Half, and nathy sg, as well as unsigned spotlight tracks from All Ears Avow and Saint Vienna.

I opened the show with the brand new single “The Joke” by prog emo legends and my mate Phil’s fave band of all time Coheed & Cambria. “The Joke” is a standalone single from the same sessions as the band’s recent album Vaxis - Act II. Following “The Joke”, the first half of the show showcased tunes from Fast Blood, Bag Of Cans and Slow Joy, and our first unsigned spotlight track, “Bird On A Wire” the latest banger from Swindon’s mighty All Ears Avow. The band have just announced a bunch of dates in June including a home town stop at The Vicotria in Swindon on the 29th. Before the news break, I wrapped up the first half with “Dormant” by Exit Child. Sadly Exit Child announced this week they are going on a permanent hiatus to allow front person Anya time to focus on their mental health we are sending Anya all our love and thoughts.

Post-news break, I resumed with something I have been waiting for over seven years a brand new track from my fave band of all time Los Campesinos! This week the band announced their seventh album All Hell will be with us in July and revealed the lead single the epic “Feast of Tongues” that I started the second half with. After "Feast of Tongues" the second half of the show packed the punches with tracks from ME REX, Supermilk, adults, and our second unsigned spotlight track, the complete emo ripper “Lonely Ghost” by Saint Vienna. You can catch Saint Vienna playing a headline show on 9 August at the Stereo Cafe in Glasgow. Wrapping up this week's show was “Do Mór” the epic new slice of post-rock from And So I Watch Your From Afar. The Irish band just announced that their seventh album Megafauna will be with us in August when if all things go right we should be catching them at this year’s ArcTanGent festival.
