Episode 56: 2000trees Special

Last night’s episode of The Scene with me your host Thom with an H, was our 2000trees special, featuring the likes of Meryl Streek, BUDS., and Problem Patterns. This past Wednesday to Saturday, the awesome 2000trees Festival took place just outside of Cheltenham. Since there were so many great bands playing at the fest, I forwent the normal show structure to bring you non-stop 2000trees bangers.

I opened the show with the title track from one of my fave EPs of the year Starchild by the mighty Sweet Pill. After “Starchild” by Sweet Pill, the show's first half showcased tunes from bands that played 2000trees such as Shooting Daggers, CHERYM, and CLT DRP. Before the news break, I wrapped up the first half with “Feast Of Tounges” by my favourite band of all time Los Campesions! Who played their first outdoor festival since 2014 at this year’s 2000trees.

Post-news break, I resumed with the awesome slice of righteous angry punk rock “Class War” by The Menstrual Cramps. After "Class War" by The Menstrual Cramps the second half of the show packed the punches with tracks from BEX, Knife Bride, and The Nightmares. Only fittingly as the festival takes place on the picturesque Upcot Fram I warped up our 2000trees with “Pastoral Existence” by Other Half.
