Episode 62

Last night’s episode of The Scene with me your host Thom with an H, was another banger of a show featuring the likes of Sex Germs, Filth Is Eternal and Defences as well as unsigned spotlight tracks from Falling Empires and The Fods.

I opened the show with the absolutely brilliant  “Cloud Stencilling” by incaseyouleave. You can catch incaseyouleave supporting As Living Arrows at the Sebright Arms in London on 2nd October. Following “Cloud Stencilling” by incaseyouleave, the first half of the show showcased tunes from Goings, Savings, ATTIC STORIES, and our first unsigned spotlight track the brilliant screamo ripper “Thank God” by Falling Empires. Before the news break, I wrapped up the first half with the absolutely brilliant “i tried my best (feat. Kevin Devine)” by Sydney Sprague. “i tried my best” comes from the deluxe version of Syndey’s album somebody in hell loves you.

Post-news break, I resumed with the brilliant “Burn The Leaves” by Soot Sprite and Muttering. “Burn The Leaves” is the lead track from the Soot Spirte’s and Muttering’s collaborative EP of the same name that comes out next month. After “Burn The Leaves” by Soot Sprite and Muttering the second half of the show packed the punches with tracks from Deny, BEX, Meryl Streek and our second unsigned the awesome“Volumes Of Silence” by indie rockers The Fods. If you want to keep tabs on the band go follow them on their Instagram page @thefodsband. Wrapping up this week's show was “Counting Sheep”  another brilliant angry rant by Meryl Streek. “Counting Sheep” is our latest taste of Meryl Streek’s next album Songs For The Deceased which drops in October.
