CLT DRP share striking video for new single “Until You Showed Me”

Brighton-based feminist electro-punk trio CLT DRP continues to captivate audiences with their latest release, the gender-fluid love song “Until You Showed Me.” Released via Venn Records.

The track is accompanied by a visually striking music video that underscores the band's commitment to pushing boundaries.

Recorded at Brighton Electric and produced by Alex Gordon, “Until You Showed Me” marks a bold departure for the band, exploring themes of gender fluidity and acceptance.

Vocalist Annie Dorrett shares insights into the track's inspiration, describing it as:

“Femininity is a word that has haunted me my whole life, whereas Masculinity is something that I've longed for. 'Until You Showed Me' is a love song to my current partner for making my gender fluidity something that they nourish and make room for rather than dismiss or ignore. It's no secret that a lot of people feel the need to lean into a gender role in order to gain respect or normalcy and if they mess with anything outside the binary it can seem threatening. Funnily enough I've found myself playing with my femininity a lot more now that I've found comfort in my skin again. This song is a little ode to the queers and anyone who strays from the binary in any way small or large. Break the wall from either side, that's how we get 'em to listen.”

Directed and edited by Sam Morris at Avocado Baby Film, the music video features a diverse cast and delivers a powerful message of inclusivity and self-expression. With its mesmerizing visuals and evocative storytelling, the video serves as the perfect complement to the song's poignant lyrics.

Following a successful run of French headline dates, CLT DRP is gearing up for a series of UK headline shows and their debut tour of Ireland. The band will also make appearances at several festivals, including Strangeforms, Reverie, Noizze Fest, Ceremony, Brighten The Corners, and 2000 Trees.
