Murder Club release latest single “Shots?!”

South Wales indie-poppers Murder Club have released their latest single, “Shots?!” the track gives fans a taste of their upcoming Night Out EP, set to drop on 29 March via Venn Records.

“Shots?!” takes you on a journey into the heart of a night out, with Murder Club capturing the essence of camaraderie and adventure that unfolds in unexpected places, particularly the women's toilets.

The track seamlessly blends synth-pop with riot-grrrl influences, delivering a dynamic sound that mirrors the diverse experiences encountered during a night out. From spoken word interludes to infectious harmonies, “Shots?!” encapsulates the spirit of friendship and revelry.

Singer/guitarist Ellie Couburn puts it simply:

“It's a song about making friends with drunk girls in the toilets and then doing shots with them.”

Synth player and vocalist Lily Gray elaborates:

“The women's toilets is the best place you can end up on a night out. Whether you're mad at your partner or just absolutely feeling yourself, the girls in the toilet will always give you the best advice and the best compliments.”

Shot at the iconic Le Pub in Newport, the music video for “Shots?!” offers viewers an immersive glimpse into Murder Club's nocturnal escapades. Directed and edited by the band themselves, the video captures the infectious energy and spontaneity that define their live performances. Showcasing an authentic portrayal of their night-out adventures. From pre-drinks to dance floors, the video captures the essence of camaraderie and uninhibited fun.
