Sweet Pill announce first-ever UK tour with Special Guests SUDS!

Sweet Pill, are embarking on their very first UK tour, and they're not doing it alone – they're bringing along another of our faves the incredible SUDS for the ride!

With a string of recent hit singles garnering international acclaim, it's finally time for the Philadelphia-based band to embark on a journey across the pond. Alongside their tour in July 2024, the band is set to grace the stage at Outbreak Festival 2024 and will also perform a special one-off show alongside American punk outfit Mannequin Pussy.

We've been eagerly awaiting this announcement ever since we caught wind of a possible collaboration back in January, when SUDS blew us away with their opening set for Spanish Love Songs in Southampton. Now that it's finally happening, we couldn't be more excited. From Southampton's iconic Joiners to Cardiff's cozy Clwb Ifor Bach and Guildford's vibrant Boileroom, this tour is hitting some of the UK's most beloved small venues. Get ready for an unforgettable experience – this tour is going to be epic!

Sweet Pill vocalist Zayna Youssef shares of the news:

“We’re finally going to the UK!!! This will be the first time Sweet Pill would have hopped a plane to play the big rock gig. Not only is it my first time stepping foot in the UK, but we’ll be doing so with one of my new favorite bands SUDS. I couldn’t get enough of their debut album, “The Great Overgrowth”. I really wanted to see them live but wasn’t sure when they’d be crossing the pond. So it is going to be so special to not only watch them play, but do so in their home country! What makes it the most special is that we get to share the stage! Very excited to have them join us in our first UK experience. I will be crowd-killing to “freckle” every night.

Sweet Pill is stoked to try new foods like bangers and mash! Beans on toast! Tea! Feesh n Chips! (I don’t really like seafood though). I also will be on the lookout for local legends like the gulping Beavo, the “aww f*ck I can’t believe you’ve done this” guy, and the entire cast of the original Skins series. We’ll also be returning the tea that was dumped in the Boston harbor as a welcoming gift. (I also don’t mind the UK version of the office.) If you see us out and about, let’s be mates!”

Additionally, fans can anticipate the release of Sweet Pill’s brand new EP Starchild next month courtesy of Hopeless Records. We've been fortunate enough to catch a sneak preview, and let's just say, it's a contender for our favorite release of the year!
