Martha announce new 7" ‘Is Tomorrow Just A Day Like All The Rest?’

One of our faves and Pity Me in County Durham’s greatest export Martha, have announced that they will be dropping a new 7” Is Tomorrow Just A Day Like All The Rest? out 2pm GMT tomorrow 29 February via Big Scary Monsters.

This special release features two covers of Jimmy Eat World classics: "A Praise Chorus" and "Crush." Martha's connection with the Arizona emo legends runs deep, and this homage to their musical inspirations is bound to resonate with fans old and new.

Speaking of the release drummer Nathan Stephens-Griffin said:

“We first covered A Praise Chorus at one of the first ever Martha shows way back in 2012, so it was really nice to come back to that song and finally get a version of it recorded more than a decade later.

Jimmy Eat World will always inhabit a very special place in all of our hearts. It's music we grew up with but unlike so much other stuff from that era, theirs is music which we've never really stopped listening to.”

The tracks were recorded with Chris McManus at Blank Studios in Newcastle. Each 7" vinyl will be eco-mix and individually date-stamped to represent each day of 2024, making this release truly unique and collectable. Limited to just 366 copies, fans will want to act fast to secure their piece of Martha history.

We were fortunate to have an early listen to the tracks, and it's safe to say they are absolute bangers! The fusion of Martha's style with the iconic sound of Jimmy Eat World is simply incredible. Get ready to make your leap year truly epic by marking your calendars for tomorrow and grabbing a copy of this sensational release.
