Van Houten drop final single "Only Wanna Be With You" before debut album release

Van Houten, rising stars of shoegaze fuled alternative guitar rock, have released their latest single "Only Wanna Be With You," serving as the final glimpse into their highly anticipated debut album The Tallest Room scheduled for release on 22 March via Clue Records / EMI North.

The album promises a captivating blend of eclectic influences and earworm hooks that celebrate the band's journey and look optimistically towards the future.

Crafted with precision, "Only Wanna Be With You" encapsulates the fleeting intensity of a relationship, echoing sentiments of longing and devotion in just under two minutes. Lead vocalist Louis Sadler poignantly sings, "Wouldn't have it any other way, cos if it's win or lose - I just wanna be with you, I only wanna be with you."

Produced by Alex Greaves (known for his work with bdrmm, Working Men's Club, and Bloc Party), 'The Tallest Room' promises to be a poignant exploration of growth, change, and resilience.

Reflecting on the album's themes, Sadler shares:

“Over the past couple of years while we've been writing I've gone through some massive changes that have really sculpted my outlook and it's naturally bled into our music... It's about gaining perspective, moving forwards and while it acknowledges darker experiences & feelings, it's ultimately about moving on.”

In support of the album, Van Houten will embark on a UK headline tour in March and April, with stops in Leeds, Brighton, London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester, Middlesbrough, Glasgow, and more.
