Episode 52

Last night’s episode of The Scene with me your host Thom with an H, was another banger of a show featuring the likes of Johnny Foreigner, Los Campesnos, and Honey Joy as well as unsigned spotlight tracks from incaseyouleave and Blondine.

I opened the show with the brand new single “Passing Through the Hourglass” by Philie based experimental post-hardcore band Kaonashi. Kaonashi are hitting UK shores later this summer for ArcTanGent and I am super excited to catch them in the flesh. Following “Passing Through the Hourglass”, the first half of the show showcased tunes from MILLY, Carly Cosgrove, SUDS and our first unsigned spotlight track brilliant new banger “Arrhythmia” by London’s greatest screamo band incaseyouleave. If you want to catch the band live they are playing at Manchester’s Love Day festival in September. Before the news break, I wrapped up the first half with the absolutely epic “Sport House feat AWFM” by Blvck Hippie. Blvck Hippie just dropped their brilliant new album Basketball Camp on Friday

Post-news break, I resumed with something a little special “What the Alexei” by Johnny Foreigner. Ths week Johnny Foreigner dropped a banging new EP their first music since 2016 and announced a full album is coming in September. After "What the Alexei" the second half of the show packed the punches with tracks from Out Of Love, Giant Walker, BEX, and our second unsigned spotlight track, “Leech” by Blondine. You can catch the band supporting Nameless Friends at the Zombie Shack in Manchester on the 5th July. Wrapping up this week's show was the completely heartwrenching “Gaza is Calling” by Mustafa. Any net proceeds raised by the track will benefit the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. Big thanks to all who tuned in to last night’s episode of The Scene!
