Takedown Festival announces second wave of artists for 2024

The lineup for next year’s Takedown Festival keeps getting better. The festival announced today that some of our absolute faves like Lake Malice, Kid Kapichi, Kite Thief, Cauldron, and Employed to Serve will be taking to the stage at Portsmouth Guildhall next April.

This latest announcement follows the news of previously announced headliners Creeper and Dinosaur Pile-Up plus the first wave of artist reveals, which saw the likes of Kid Bookie, Dreamstate, Mimi Barks, 'A', Snayx, Dead Pony, Stone Broken, and others added to the festival's 2024 roster.

In a groundbreaking move, Takedown Festival is expanding to a two-day event, taking place on Saturday, April 13, and Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the Portsmouth Guildhall.

Kai and Sarah Harris of Takedown Festival Ltd said:

“We are incredibly excited to unveil the next wave of band announcements for Takedown 2024. By expanding our festival programming, we're encompassing an even wider spectrum of metal, alternative, and rock genres. Following its eight-year hiatus, the legendary festival made a triumphant return in 2023, with Sleep Token and Skindred headlining the event. The festival relocated from its Southampton University roots to the larger Portsmouth Guildhall, solidifying its position as one of the premier rock events in the festival calendar. Takedown Festival's comeback is part of a new partnership between Divergent Festivals and The Guildhall Trust.

To further cement its incredible resurgence, Takedown Festival has been nominated for Best Small Festival, Best Metropolitan Festival, and the Grassroots Festival Award at the 2023 UK Festival Awards.
