Blouse Clubland: Problem Patterns’ queerpunk anthems get a dancefloor makeover

Our new BFFs, Problem Patterns, are back—this time with Blouse Clubland, a fierce and fabulous remix album dropping on 25 October via Alcopop! Records. This Belfast-based queerpunk powerhouse has joined forces with their mates to deliver a reimagined, dancefloor-ready version of their critically acclaimed debut Blouse Club, and we are absolutely here for it.

The remix album is more than just a collection of reworked tunes—it's a celebration. To mark the first anniversary of Blouse Club, the band have gathered some of their favourite collaborators to twist and turn their tracks into a glorious mash-up of punk-fuelled beats and clubland euphoria. Think feminist anthems, but with a thumping bassline and neon-soaked energy. It’s a whole new vibe for the band, but with their DIY, shouty ethos intact.

Leading the charge is "Bigger, Shoutier", remixed by Belfast indie rock duo Beauty Sleep and it isn’t just any remix—it’s a euphoric, floor-filling anthem that marries the band’s punk spirit with Beauty Sleep’s lush, synth-driven sound. If you thought Problem Patterns couldn’t get more electric, this track proves you wrong.

Problem Patterns describe Blouse Clubland as a place where feminist punk meets the club—a collaboration that includes a who's who of underground talent. Artists like Pink Pound, Hex Hue, and Alice Go have each added their own twist, making this album a true collective effort. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a band as inclusive and boundary-pushing as this.

The remix album is set to drop on a limited edition pink cassette (yes, we’re already eyeing one) and comes with an outrageously loud shirt/blouse collaboration with The Dudes. Grab yours before they sell out—this one’s bound to be a cult classic in the making.

This year has already been a wild ride for Problem Patterns, with standout performances at Glastonbury, Stendahl Festival, and TRUCK Festival, among others. If their festival sets are anything to go by, Blouse Clubland is going to bring even more chaos—and joy—to dancefloors everywhere.

So, whether you’re ready to rave to "Can’t Fire Me I’m Raving" by METRAH or groove along to "YAW(N)" by Mollie Rush, Blouse Clubland is a must-listen for both punks and party-goers alike. Catch them at their Blouse Clubland launch DJ set in Belfast, or one of their upcoming support slots with Other Half and The Mary Wallopers. One thing’s for sure: Problem Patterns are here to make you dance, shout, and feel something all at once.
