Last night on The Scene with me, your host Thom with an H, it was a whirlwind of punk-infused indie vibes, heart-pounding rock anthems, and soulful expressions! We began the show with the electrifying track "California King" by Sincere Engineer, setting the tone for an unforgettable musical journey. The night featured an array of talented artists, from the legendary Paramore to the riot grrrl-inspired Lambrini Girls. We delved into the local music scene, proudly showcasing Salisbury's own CARSICK with their captivating song "Anaconda Frank." The energy soared as we explored dark and edgy tracks from Another Sky and ann-JIM-uh-lee. Moving across continents, we savoured pop-punk goodness from Cherym all the way from Northern Ireland. In the second hour, the show took a soulful turn, offering chill and deeper tracks from Youth Lagoon and Grian Chatten. We couldn't resist the American summer vibes, rocking out to tunes from Palehound, The Rocket Summer, and Meg & Dia. The mosh pit was alive with Proper's "Shuck and Jive" and the powerful metal sounds of Lake Malice. As the night drew to a close, we dived into emotional melodies from Shit Present and Owen, leaving hearts moved and touched. And finally, we bid farewell with SUDS' "Notice Me," ending the show on a high note. The language of music once again united us all, making it an unforgettable episode of The Scene.
