Fans left heartbroken as Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes announce indefinite hiatus ahead of final tour dates

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes have announced that they will be taking an indefinite break after nearly a decade of making music. In a heartfelt statement, the band shared their gratitude for the journey they've been on, saying, "9 years, 5 albums, hundreds of stages shared all over the world and our songs sung with each and every one of you."

Since their formation, the band—led by Frank Carter and guitarist Dean Richardson—has built a reputation for raw, emotionally charged music and intense live performances. Their latest release, Dark Rainbow, hit the UK Top 10 and received some of the best reviews of their career. Known for constantly pushing the boundaries of alternative music, the band's announcement will be a huge loss for fans who have connected deeply with their music over the years.

The news of the hiatus comes after a busy year of headlining tours across the UK, EU, USA, and Australia. Despite the break, the band will fulfil their remaining tour commitments with a string of shows across the UK and Europe throughout October and November, with tickets already available.

The band thanked their fans for the unwavering support and took a moment to acknowledge their fellow band members—Gareth, Tank, Elliot, and Mitch. "It’s been a privilege to share the stage with some of the best musicians we know," they said, inviting everyone to celebrate the songs that have defined their journey.

The band’s statement in full:

9 years, 5 Albums, hundreds of stages shared all over the world and our songs sung with each and every one of you.

It is with sadness we announce that The Rattlesnakes are taking a hiatus.

From the deepest lows to highest highs, in grief in anger and in joy, our band has been a celebration of being alive no matter the circumstances.

We want to send our love and thanks to the band – Gareth, Tank, Elliot & Mitch. It’s been a privilege to share the stage with some of the best musicians we know.

So please join us all in celebration of the songs that changed our lives.

Our UK and European Tour will go ahead and we look forward to seeing you all on the dancefloor.
