Militarie Gun unleash new banger "Thought You Were Waving"

Militarie Gun have dropped a new single and video, "Thought You Were Waving," now available via Loma Vista Recordings.

This release marks the band's first new music since their acclaimed debut album, Life Under The Gun, and features a vibrant video directed by Neta Ben Ezra, showcasing the band in a series of unruly and dangerous situations.

For the new release, Militarie Gun worked with Zachary Dawes (Lana Del Rey, Sharon Van Etten, Bully). "Thought You Were Waving" dives into themes of resilience, mental anguish, and the relentless pursuit of self-improvement. The band aims to inspire listeners to rise above adversity with this powerful anthem.

Recently, Militarie Gun's track "Gun Under The Gun (MFG)" was featured in the WWE 2K24 video game as the walk-in music for Post Malone’s wrestling character. Additionally, Post Malone included their song "Do It Faster" on his curated playlist for the game's soundtrack.

Militarie Gun has just completed a series of headline and support shows with Hockey Dad in Australia. They will continue their global tour with a highly anticipated hometown show in Los Angeles on July 25th, supported by Gouge Away, Heart to Gold, and Human Garbage. The band is also set to perform at various festivals, including Reading & Leeds, Lollapalooza, Project Pabst, Thing Festival, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock. They will also embark on a European tour with Lip Critic, Pluto The Racer, Never Yours, Chiefland, daysdaysdays, and Tripsun on select dates. In September, Militarie Gun will join Manchester Orchestra on their 10-year anniversary COPE tour across North America.

Earlier this year, Militarie Gun released the mini-documentary Live Under The Sun, highlighting the band's dynamic songwriting and community collaboration. This documentary features guest performances from Manchester Orchestra, Marisa Dabice of Mannequin Pussy, and Christine Goodwyne of Pool Kids.

Life Under The Gun, released last summer, received landed on multiple best-of-2023 lists, praised for blending hardcore's cathartic elements with catchy melodies. Taco Bell's ad campaign prominently features "Do It Faster" from this album.
