Lambrini Girls release “Body Of Mine” limited edition 7”

Earlier this week Brighton’s Lambrini Girls dropped their new single "Body Of Mine," an introspective track that delves into the complexities of gender identity. Today they release the limited edition 7-inch vinyl, which pairs "Body Of Mine" with the previously released "God Country," available via City Slang.

Emerging as a cornerstone of Brighton's queer music scene, Lambrini Girls have captured attention with their explosive energy and poignant lyricism. "Body Of Mine" offers a personal glimpse into the struggles of navigating one's gender identity, exploring themes of self-discovery and the often-painful journey towards understanding oneself.

The single comes at a busy time for the band, as they gear up for a summer filled with notable appearances including a headline show at London’s SCALA on 13th June, a slot at the renowned Glastonbury Festival, and other major festival performances at Wide Awake, 2000 Trees, Reading & Leeds, Green Man, and Manchester Psych Fest. Additionally, they are set to support punk powerhouse IDLES at their sold-out London shows later this year.

"Body Of Mine" captures the essence of Lambrini Girls’ raw and emotive sound, blending punk vigor with introspective lyrics. It’s a track that not only challenges societal norms but also invites listeners to confront their own perceptions of identity and belonging.

Talking about the track the band shared:

"While many of our songs, are critiques of societal issues, Body of Mine is a little more personal. This song is about trying to connect to your gender identity, feeling like you're not fully yourself, and struggling to figure out how to truly become it. Gender is a complex experience, we acknowledge that this song represents just one perspective among many, of not knowing where you fit inside it all. It's tough to feel that nobody really gets you and it's also truly quite shit when you don't really know how to understand yourself either."

Today fans of the group will be able to get their hands on the limited edition purple 7-inch vinyl, a must-have for collectors and new listeners alike. With their growing reputation for thrilling live performances and culturally resonant music, Lambrini Girls are not just riding the wave of contemporary punk—they are shaping its future.
