HEAVY LUNGS release debut album ‘All Gas No Brakes’

Bristol noise punk quartet HEAVY LUNGS have released their long-awaited debut album, All Gas No Brakes, via Alcopop! Records.

To celebrate the release, the band have also shared a new single, "Plagiarism." The song is a tongue-in-cheek commentary on stealing intellectual property.

Talking about the song frontman Danny Nedelko said:

"People say there are no original ideas left. Well, we are proving them wrong with tongue-and-cheek commentary about stealing intellectual property. It's never been done before. We're pretty sure it's never been done before. We're 79% sure."

All Gas No Brakes was recorded at Holy Mountain Studios with additional production at Humm Studios by producer Chris Fullard and assistant engineer Stanley Gravett. The album was mastered by Adam Gonsalves at Telegraph Audio.

Across the record, HEAVY LUNGS examine topics of anxiety, guilt, and mental health, but they're never too far away from that healthy dose of HEAVY LUNGS humour. Be it redefining plagiarism and really making it their own, or musing on the inevitability of growing old and uncool, there's a sense of mischief throughout.

The band are also set to embark on a UK headline tour in October in support of the album.
