KC Rae releases new song “Parking Lot”, teases more coming

KC Rae (of Now, Now) has released a new solo single, “Parking Lot” today, joining the quiet releases this year of “Bathroom Floor” and “Blockbuster”.

There’s not much else we know about this new solo debut from KC Rae. As we said when “Bathroom Floor” was released, this single continues the trademark dreamy guitar sounds and atmospheric thread woven through all of KC’s music. The darkest and most atmospheric of the three single releases, “Parking Lot” builds begins with simple guitar and builds throughout before culminating in a fuzzy guitar wall of sound.

KC says of the song:

“‘Parking Lot’ is about the feeling of being held captive by someone else’s rage. Then the song concludes with the realization that I can take my power back.”

Alongside the Instagram teaser post noting there would be “more to say very soon”, we now know that a full album is on its way! A presumed self-release, Think I'm Gonna Die is due out 10 Nov and available to pre-save and pre-order on vinyl for a limited time.

KC Rae will also play her first ever solo show on 14 December at 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis, MN.

As massive fans of KC Rae, we’re so excited to hear these new releases. No doubt, this album will make Kelly’s top-albums-of-the-year list. We’ll be pre-ordering pronto and crossing every finger we have that she’ll be back across the pond soon!
