KEG return with new single “Quip Quash”

London-based collective KEG are back with their brand new single, “Quip Quash”, which is out now via Alcopop! Records.

The track is the first new material since the band's 2022 EP Girders, and it's a confident stride forward for the wonk-pop 7-piece.

“Quip Quash” is a flurry of pithy spite and clumsy word bundles, centred around the insecurities of writing music surrounded by your ever better, more handsome and intelligent peers. It's a relatable and relatable track that showcases KEG's whip-smart spikiness and gorgeous weirdness.

Commenting on the track the band said:

“Embarrassingly centred around the insecurities of writing music surrounded by your ever better, more handsome and intelligent peers. 'Quip Quash' is a flurry of pithy spite and clumsy word bundles.”

The band have also announced a run of UK headline tour dates in October and November 2023, with tickets on sale now. The tour includes an appearance at the Live At Leeds Festival.

“Quip Quash” is another confident stride forward for KEG, and it's a must-listen for fans of wonky pop, post-punk, and experimental music.
