Militarie Gun announce new EP "Life Under The Sun"

Militarie Gun, are set to kick off 2024 with a bang as they announce the release of their new EP, Life Under The Sun, scheduled to drop this Friday, 26 January via Loma Vista Recordings. The EP showcases a stripped-down selection of tracks from Militarie Gun's critically acclaimed Life Under The Gun released last summer, placing front and centre the intensely personal songwriting of Ian Shelton.

Featuring previously released singles such as "Never Fucked Up Twice" with Bully's Alicia Bognanno and "Very High (Under The Sun)," the upcoming EP also introduces the brand new single, "My Friends Are Having A Hard Time," featuring the talents of Manchester Orchestra. The accompanying visualizer, directed by Isaac Deitz, captures the essence of the song and features Ian Shelton alongside Manchester Orchestra's Andy Hull.

In addition to the collaboration with Manchester Orchestra, Life Under The Sun includes a reimagined version of "Will Logic" with Mannequin Pussy and a cover of NOFX's "Whoops I OD'd." The EP promises to be a captivating journey through Militarie Gun's evolving sound and diverse collaborations.

As anticipation builds for the EP release, Militarie Gun is gearing up for a headline North American tour starting next week. The tour spans 31 dates across the country and concludes on March 9th. Pool Kids and Spiritual Cramp will join as support, with Death Lens, Spaced, and Roman Candle making special appearances on select dates.

Militarie Gun's live presence extends beyond their headline tour, with scheduled performances at Coachella, LDB Fest, Welcome To Rockville, Sonic Temple Festival, Primavera Sound, and Bonnaroo throughout the year.
