Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, announce UK/EU 2025 tour and drop new single "Detroit"

Newcastle noise rock titans Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs (Pigs x7) have dropped "Detroit," their first new material since Land of Sleeper hit shelves in February 2023. The track, described by frontman Matt Baty as "a reflection on the worst manifestations of male jealousy and resentment," tackles themes of unchecked ego and toxic masculinity through a wall of unapologetic noise and relentless energy.

"Detroit" is a towering juggernaut of dissonant guitar riffs, pounding rhythms, and Baty's signature vocal onslaught. The song explores a narrative of blame-shifting and moral failure, as a "hideous man" deflects responsibility onto forces like fate and religion.

Baty explains:

"This track reflects on the ways in which a lack of accountability can lead to deflecting responsibility in exchange for blaming external forces like fate or God for perceived injustice."

In addition to making a bold sonic statement, Pigs x7 are donating proceeds from "Detroit" to domestic abuse charities, further demonstrating their commitment to addressing societal issues through music and action. The accompanying video, directed by Ellen Dixon, adds a raw and visceral visual layer to the single.

The release of "Detroit" arrives ahead of the band’s highly anticipated 2025 UK and EU tour. Fans can look forward to a string of electrifying live performances across iconic venues, including London’s KOKO, Bristol’s SWX, and Glasgow’s St Luke’s. Known for their intense, immersive live shows, the upcoming tour promises to be a showcase of their ever-evolving artistry and raw stage presence.
