yndi halda, Totorro, FAZI among the latest acts confirmed for Portals Festival 2025

Portals Festival has just revealed a fresh wave of acts for 2025’s lineup, adding even more excitement to its seventh edition. Held at EartH in Hackney, London, the two-day event on 24-25 May will see performances from post-rock icons yndi halda, French math-rock group Totorro, and Chinese post-punk outfit FAZI. This new set of artists joins an already dynamic lineup that promises a mix of familiar faces and emerging talent from the alternative rock and experimental scenes.

Returning to the stage after a long hiatus, yndi halda will bring their emotional, sprawling sound back to fans who’ve been waiting since their split in 2018. Their performance at Portals is set to be one of the highlights of the weekend, as the band revisits their intricate, atmospheric compositions.

Festival co-organiser Sam Festenstein spoke about the band’s reunion, saying:
"This year we're seeing a resurgence of some of the all-time greats of our scene with Brontide, yndi halda, and Totorro, and we're privileged to be able to bring them to Portals to share with our audience."

Another standout addition is Totorro, who are reuniting to mark the 10th anniversary of their much-loved album Home Alone. Known for their melodic, complex instrumentals, Totorro’s return is sure to resonate with fans and newcomers alike as they perform the album in full. The festival will also feature FAZI’s first UK appearance since 2019, bringing their blend of post-punk and krautrock to Portals, with a style and stage presence that’s earned them a loyal following worldwide.

The lineup is rounded out with a strong selection of bands spanning genres from post-rock to noise-rock and prog. American band I Hear Sirens will bring their textured instrumentals, while London’s Codices promises a set filled with high-energy math-rock. Meanwhile, Bristol noise-rock band PEACH, British experimental prog favourites Poly-Math, and Norwegian orchestral post-rockers Spurv add further variety to the bill. There’s also plenty for fans of punk and heavy sounds with The None, a supergroup featuring members from Bloc Party, Cassels, Blue Ruth, and Frauds.

2025 will also mark the festival’s tenth anniversary, celebrating a decade of supporting underground and alternative music. From its origins as a one-day event in 2015, Portals has become a staple in London’s music scene, and this year’s event is set to make full use of EartH’s diverse stages, offering an intimate and immersive setting for every artist.

The current lineup includes:

yndi halda, Totorro, FAZI, Brontide, Mouse on the Keys, Cats and Cats and Cats, The Fierce and the Dead, Fly Fly Triceratops, Oavette, The Brackish, I Hear Sirens, Poly-Math, The None, Spurv, Thot, PEACH, Love Rarely, Codices, Teiger, Black Aleph, Bruit.

With nearly half of the lineup yet to be revealed, Portals Festival 2025 promises a weekend packed with diverse talent. Tickets are available now through DICE, with further information on the festival’s website.
