American Football announce 25th Anniversary Edition and Covers version of LP1

American Football is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their seminal debut album, American Football (LP1), with two special releases. On 18 October via Polyvinyl Record Co., fans can enjoy a fully remastered version of the original album and a covers edition featuring contributions from artists like Iron & Wine, M.A.G.S., Blondshell, and Manchester Orchestra.

The remastered American Football (25th Anniversary Edition) comes in a beautifully designed spot embossed and silver foil gatefold packaging with a 24-page booklet. Alongside it, American Football (Covers) showcases various interpretations of the band’s classic tracks by a diverse group of musicians.

To give fans a taste of what's to come, the newly remastered "Never Meant" is available for listening, along with Iron & Wine's warm and transformative cover of the same track, accompanied by an official music video.

After a lengthy search for the original Digital Audio Tapes and a successful remastering process by Jonathan Pines in Urbana’s Private Studios, the band is proud to present the definitive version of their beloved debut album. This new edition highlights the sparkling guitars, bouncy drums, and deep bass that have made the album a classic.
