Jamie Lenman announces art book Skeletons & Skylines, celebrating Twenty Five Years of Art, Design and Rock n' Roll

Following his retirement from performing Jamie Lenman, has shared his latest creative venture, an art book titled Skeletons & Skylines, scheduled for release on 22 May through Big Scary Monsters.

To mark the occasion, Lenman will host a free art exhibition and book launch at the Signature Brew Taproom in Haggerston, London, on 21 May. The event promises an engaging live Q&A session with Lenman himself and a performance from Los Skeletos, who will play music from Reuben, Lenman’s former band. Additionally, attendees can look forward to a unique beverage experience with the exclusively brewed Cherryade named Fizzy Blood, crafted in collaboration with Signature Brew for the event. For those unable to attend, the exhibition will remain accessible for a month, offering fans ample opportunity to delve into Lenman's artistic world.

As an illustrator, Lenman has contributed to a diverse array of publications, including The Guardian, Doctor Who Magazine, and Rock Sound. He has also authored several children’s book series for major publishers like Bloomsbury and Hachette. His dual talents have flourished through his visual contributions not only for his own music projects but for other artists as well, making his work a staple in music and art spheres.

In the realm of music, Lenman first made waves as the frontman of the post-hardcore group Reuben, touring extensively with acts like Biffy Clyro and Billy Talent. Following Reuben's disbandment, Lenman embarked on a solo career that has seen the release of four distinct albums, including the critically acclaimed Devolver in 2017. His track "Long Gone" reached number one in the UK vinyl charts, a testament to his enduring appeal and innovative approach to music.

Skeletons & Skylines is not just a compilation of Lenman's artwork; it's a narrative of his expansive career, told through visuals that blend his musical and artistic passions. This book is anticipated to be a collector's item for fans and new audiences alike, offering a unique look into the creative process of one of the UK's most respected underground musicians.
