jasmine.4.t signs to Saddest Factory Records, & releases debut single "Skin On Skin"
Manchester-based trans-singer-songwriter jasmine.4.t, also known as Jasmine Cruickshank, has inked a deal with Saddest Factory Records, the label founded by Phoebe Bridgers.
Alongside the announcement she has shared her debut single "Skin On Skin," a poignant exploration of transfeminine life produced by Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus. The track blends fingerpicked guitar with punk influences and raw vocals, showcasing Jasmine's introspective songwriting and musical evolution.
Jasmine's journey into music began when she inherited her late uncle's guitar, eventually playing in skate punk bands and releasing self-produced tracks through Breakfast Records in Bristol. Her transition marked a creative shift, culminating in deeply personal songs that resonate with authenticity and vulnerability.
Talking about her singing Jasmine said:
“I never imagined signing with a label like Saddest Factory Records. It was surreal hearing that Phoebe Bridgers wanted to sign me after Lucy Dacus played her my demos.”
Her music not only captures personal experiences but also serves as a platform for activism, advocating for trans rights and marginalized communities. Don't miss Jasmine's headline show at The Waiting Room in London on July 31st, followed by a performance at Pitchfork Music Festival Paris on November 8th.
