Los Campesinos! announce details of seventh album “All Hell”

After teasing fans earlier this year with news of their completed seventh album, the legendary Los Campesinos!—dubbed the "greatest band in the world" by our co-founder Thom—have officially revealed that All Hell will drop on 19 July through the band’s own Heart Swells label.

This latest offering from the self-dubbed UK's first and only emo band promises to be a whirlwind exploration of life's highs and lows, infused with their signature blend of emotional intensity and unapologetic honesty. Having had a sneak peek, it's safe to say that it exceeds all expectations. It's everything a Los Campesinos! fan could want in a record - showcasing growth while retaining the band’s distinctive sound. With a runtime of 50 minutes, it's a non-stop barrage of bangers from start to finish. We can promise Los Campesinos! fans that the seven-year wait since their last album has been well worth it All Hell delivers on every front!

Featuring a diverse range of themes, All Hell delves into the complexities of adult life, touching on topics such as drinking, friendship, love, death, and late-stage capitalism. From the chaotic frenzy of Hold On Now, Youngster... to the self-mythologizing of NO BLUES, Los Campesinos! has continuously evolved their sound while staying true to their roots.

According to the band All Hell is an album on:

“drinking for fun and drinking for misery // adult acne // adult friendship // football // death and dying // love and sex // late-stage capitalism // Orpheus // day dreaming // night terrors // the heart as an organ and as a burden // suburban boredom // Tears of the Kingdom // the punks on the playlist // increments of time // climate apocalypse //the moon the moon the moon ///”

The album's first single, "Feast of Tongues," offers a taste of what's to come, inviting listeners into a world of suburban boredom, night terrors, and existential musings. With additional instrumentation from Holly Carpenter, Eileen McDonald Sparks, and Jon Natchez, the album promises to deliver a rich sonic tapestry that resonates with fans old and new.

For those unfamiliar with the band, Los Campesinos! has earned a reputation as one of the most influential cult acts in the UK since their formation in the mid-2000s. Known for their emotional intensity and connection, their lyrics serve as a source of comfort and insight for fans worldwide.

As they approach their third decade as a band, Los Campesinos! shows no signs of slowing down. With All Hell on the horizon, they continue to push the boundaries of their sound while remaining true to their core values of accessibility, transparency, and affordability.
