EXCIDE join SharpTone Records and unleash dual single 'Humdinger'

Carolina-based post-hardcore outfit EXCIDE has inked a deal with SharpTone Records, marking the occasion with the release of their electrifying dual single, “Humdinger”.

The band's unique blend of hardcore spirit, grunge-infused hooks, and unpredictable heaviness creates a hard-hitting and entrancing musical experience. Humdinger features two standout tracks, “Dis(re)member” and “All Down But 9,” both of which pulsate with vibrant, visceral energy, weaving through melody-driven vocals and chunky riffs.

Accompanying the release is the visually compelling video for “Dis(re)member,” directed and produced by Tyler Norris (of Foreign Hands). The video seamlessly blends a '90s-style performance by the band with a narrative conveyed through shadow puppets.

Delving into the meaning behind “Dis(re)member,” vocalist Tyler Washington shares:

“Dis(re)member' is about leaving behind the person you were in the past, whether it was a good or bad version of yourself. It's a declaration of not letting the past influence your present decisions and actions. The song came together organically and truly reflects where we are as a band”

Formed in 2020, Excide quickly gained attention with releases such as Two of a Kind and Actualize / Radiation Reel. Their full-length debut, Deliberate Revolver (New Morality Zine), dropped in 2022 and garnered praise from industry stalwarts like Revolver, Stereogum, and No Echo. Drawing inspiration from influential acts like Snapcase, Quicksand, Helmet, and Foo Fighters, Excide's sonic palette showcases versatility that has allowed them to share stages with diverse acts such as Poison The Well, Dying Wish, Evergreen Terrace, Spaced, and Broken Vow.

The band is set to embark on a tour in April alongside Sign Language and Bleak. EXCIDE's signing to SharpTone Records and the release of the Humdinger dual single mark a significant chapter in their musical journey. Prepare for a sonic adventure that transcends genre boundaries and delivers an authentic and powerful musical experience.
