Ghost Woman share new single "Yoko"

Ghost Woman, the dark and atmospheric garage rock duo of Evan Uschenko and Ille van Dessel, have shared the second single, "Yoko," from their forthcoming album, Hindsight is 50/50, due out 24 November on Full Time Hobby.

The new single is a burst of squalling guitars and heavy drums, with a mid-song breakdown that hints at the band's incendiary live performances.

Hindsight is 50/50 is the band's third album in 18 months, but Uschenko says that it's the first one that truly captures the band's sound and vision.

Uschenko explains:

“Hindsight is 50/50 finally captures the true nature of the band the first two albums were never meant to be albums: they are like pages from diaries that have long since been burned. With the introduction of Ille van Dessel as co-writer/drummer, the project feels like it has a direction.”

The album was recorded mostly live in three days at the analogue Kerwax studios in Brittany, France by Christophe Chavanon (The Good Damn). The result is a warm, dense sound world with vocals drenched in reverb and guitars that are heavier and more distorted than on previous releases.

Ghost Woman will be touring in support of the album in Europe and the UK in January and February 2024.
