Hockey Dad announce new album 'Rebuild Repeat'

Australian indie rock group Hockey Dad are gearing up for a thrilling new chapter with the announcement of their highly anticipated album, Rebuild Repeat, slated for release on 14 June via Farmer & The Owl / BMG.

This marks the band's fourth album, arriving four years after their ARIA #2-charting Brain Candy in 2020, and sets the stage exploration into fresh sounds and creative territories.

The band has already unleashed a taste of the upcoming album with the release of the new single 'Base Camp,' a feel-good melodic pop song that retains the unmistakable essence of Hockey Dad. The accompanying video, featuring band members Zach Stephenson and Billy Fleming, adds a cinematic dimension to the narrative, showcasing their down-on-their-luck characters in a fight to save their creations from an eccentric art thief.

Reflecting on the new album, Zach Stephenson shares:

“This album for me feels like a fresh rebirth after a muddy, hazy couple of years for us and everyone else in the world. 'Rebuild Repeat' as a title kind of describes the process of making a new record as a band. You only have yourselves as raw materials. You knock down what you had from the past, re-design, rebuild it and repeat. Hopefully you learn some structural integrity tips along your way.”

To celebrate the album's announcement Hockey Dad has revealed an Australian tour, featuring special guests Militarie Gun and The Belair Lip Bombs, presented by triple j and Volcom. The 'Rebuild Repeat Australian Tour' promises to be a memorable experience, showcasing some of the band's biggest shows to date.

In addition to their home-country shows, Hockey Dad has secured a spot as the supporting act for Ocean Alley on a mammoth UK & European tour in September and October. The extensive run of shows includes two Roundhouses in London, making it an unmissable opportunity for international fans to experience Hockey Dad's electrifying performances.

As Hockey Dad celebrates their 10th year as a band, 'Rebuild Repeat' and the accompanying tours mark the beginning of an exciting new era. With Gold and Platinum awards under their belt, the band has earned a dedicated global fanbase through headline tours and main stage performances at major festivals worldwide.
