Terminals share new single “Swim”

Birmingham-based alternative rock trio Terminals are here to shake up your music rotation with their latest single "Swim." Released alongside a mesmerizing visualizer, "Swim" offers listeners a spiralling journey into the band's sonic universe.

Diving deep into their creative process, Terminals transformed an Airbnb into a DIY studio, allowing them to craft their upcoming body of work with meticulous attention to detail. Produced by bassist James Cohu and mastered by Hamish Dickinson, known for his work with Palm Reader and Redwood, "Swim" sets the stage for what promises to be an electrifying musical journey.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind "Swim," Terminals shared:

"Swim is about trying to escape using alcohol. I used it as a coping mechanism to deal with loneliness after lockdown, and after some time I realised that whilst It made me feel a sense of euphoria, it deepened the problem. The lyrics touch upon how it made me feel on top of the world, swimming in a deep blue sky, but how it masked the high, burying me in gold."

Comprising James Whitehouse on vocals and guitar, James Cohu on bass, and Joe Cooper on drums, Terminals emerged onto the scene in late 2022 with a sound influenced by the likes of Deftones, Radiohead, and Loathe. With their immersive soundscapes, ambient riffs, and raw emotional storytelling, Terminals are poised to make waves in the UK alternative music scene.

As they gear up to unveil more of their musical journey, "Swim" serves as a tantalizing taste of what's to come from Terminals in 2024. So, get ready to add this track to your playlist and embark on a sonic adventure with Terminals.
