Bears In Trees share "We Don't Speak Anymore" ahead of album release

Croydon's much-loved dirtbag boyband, Bears in Trees, have released their latest single "We Don't Speak Anymore", the final tease before their upcoming album How to Build an Ocean: Instructions, slated for release on 26 April via I Sure Hope It Does.

The track marks the culmination of a series of stellar releases including "I Wanna Feel Calm", "Hot Chocolate", and "Things That Look Like Mistakes". As they gear up for their co-headline tour with New Jersey indie rockers, The Happy Fits, Bears in Trees are thrilled to share their latest creation with fans. Evocative and emotionally resonant, "We Don't Speak Anymore" delves into the complexities of modern relationships, exploring themes of connection, loss, and the bittersweet nostalgia of fading friendships.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the single, the band shared:

"We put this song together in what felt like seconds! Some songwriters would call it a 'sneeze'. Certain songs come together quickly for Bears in Trees, and others take months (or years!) to get right. The song takes lyrical ideas and tone from revenge films... we like to think of this song as a throwback to our first EP called 'Spring Killing', which had similar inspirations. It's jagged, characteristic and sounds exactly like the slice of indie-rock that we've tried to carve out for ourselves as a band."

In addition to their musical prowess, Bears in Trees have built a reputation for their vibrant online presence, amassing millions of likes on TikTok and engaging with fans proactively on Discord and Patreon. Their vivacious charm and infectious tunes have earned them a dedicated following of 'sandboxes' (the band's designated fanbase), leading to sold-out shows and festival appearances alongside renowned acts like Pale Waves, NOAHFINNCE, Waterparks, and The Maine.

As excitement builds for the album release, fans can catch Bears in Trees live on their UK tour and at their performance at 2000 Trees Festival in July.
