Giant Walker drop new single "Silhouettes"

Geordie heavy progressive rock band Giant Walker, have released the title track "Silhouettes" from their upcoming sophomore album. The new album, Silhouettes, is set for release on 20 September via Church Road Records. Accompanying the single is a music video that showcases the band's dynamic sound.

Giant Walker, known for their unique blend of influences from bands like Karnivool, Soundgarden, Radiohead, and Deftones, create music that delves into themes of loneliness and resilience. Their sound ranges from giant riffs and melancholic melodies to ambient soundscapes, creating a captivating musical journey.

The band's new single, "Silhouettes," highlights their ability to blend melancholic, stripped-back intros with anthemic choruses, hypnotic riffs, and emotive guitar solos.

Vocalist Steff Fish explains:

"Thematically, the song explores feelings of being constantly beaten down to the point where you want to bring everyone down with you - almost like life is out to trip you up at every corner and then smiling when you fall. Epitomised by the lyric - ‘I could dig a nice hole in the ground, but then I guess I can’t watch the world drown.’”

Giant Walker's signing to Church Road Records has brought them significant coverage, including features on BBC Radio 1, Kerrang, PROG, and Metal Hammer. In support of their upcoming album, the band has announced a full UK regional tour in October, along with performances at Radar Festival and a UK tour with Future Static.
