Last Hounds drop new single “Disco” ahead of Hi-Stakes Tour

Last Hounds have dropped their new single "Disco" via Venn Records. The track reignites their signature Rage Against the Machine-influenced hardcore sound with fresh influences and ideas.

Vocalist Mikey Selcher explains the track:

"'Disco' is a fiery anthem about embracing your anger. We're often told to stay calm, take a deep breath, and just be nice. But sometimes, that just doesn't cut it. Sometimes, you need to let go of niceness and get angry at what needs to change. You might even want to smash everything in sight just to feel better about your problems. That spark of anger can ignite a real transformation in your life.”

"Disco" was recorded in just a few days with Sam Bloor at Lower Lane Studios with Mikey saying:

“We've admired his work with Graphic Nature, Black Coast, and Out of Love for a while. We finally found the right time to collaborate, and he brought so much to the table. Sam has a keen ear for melody, and we pushed ourselves musically, ending up with an absolute rager.”

Midlands crossover crew Last Hounds have been making significant strides in 2024. Known for their proficient blend of hardcore punk and modern hip-hop, they recently captivated the audience at Brixton Academy, opening for scene legends NOFX. Bass player Ben Taylor expressed his excitement about the opportunity, saying, “Performing with NOFX on their final UK shows was a real ‘pinch me’ moment, and playing at Brixton Academy was a huge bucket list achievement. It may be cliché to say, but we wouldn't be doing what we do without bands like NOFX. It was a genuine honour to be part of their farewell tour, and we feel like we've been handed the torch to keep the punk rock flame alive.”

Last Hounds are gearing up for an exciting future with the announcement of their participation in the Hi-Stakes Tour. Alongside Last Gang (US), Clobber, and Split Dogs, the tour promises a dynamic punk rock experience with a rotating lineup and no headliners. Inspired by the legendary Warped Tour, this tour aims to showcase the best new bands from the UK and US across multiple venues.
