Indoor Pets announce details of new album ‘Pathetic Apathetic’

Kent indie rock/alternative quartet Indoor Pets are set to make a triumphant return with their highly anticipated album, Pathetic Apathetic, slated for release on 10 May via their original label home, Alcopop! Records.

Following three sold-out nights at The Grace in London and Deaf Institute in Manchester, the band is gearing up for a new musical chapter that promises to delve into a darker mood.

Reflecting on the journey to this new release, the band shared:

“In the five years since our debut album, we have faced personal and collective hurdles that made the concept of releasing new music feel like an unclimbable mountain. To be here now announcing a new record with the legends at Alcopop! Records, we are eternally grateful.

For us, Pathetic Apathetic is a complete liberation from our preconceived notions of what success looks like for a small UK guitar band in 2024. We four imperfect humans have made something powerful and meaningful to us. And we cannot wait to share it with those who have the time and passion to listen.”

To celebrate the album announcement, Indoor Pets has released a video for the lead single, “London (Love To Hate),” a reflection on the beauty and misery of living in the capital. The video, self-shot and edited by the band, captures the dichotomy of city life – from the hustle and bustle of working people to the towering glass monuments erected by those in power.

Additionally, Indoor Pets has announced a UK headline tour in May 2024, with tickets going on sale on Friday, March 8th. The band will also be gracing the stage at the 2000 Trees Festival on July 10th—13th, with more festival dates yet to be announced.
