The Menstrual Cramps release new single and beer “Class War”

Bristol-based punx The Menstrual Cramps have dropped their new single “Class War” via Alcopop! Records.

But that's not all – in a unique move, they've teamed up with the Manchester-based Courier Brewing Company to launch a special craft beer named after the track.

This session pale ale offers a lively flavor profile featuring notes of orange peel, a robust bitterness, and a refreshing finish—all while being entirely vegan-friendly. Available for purchase directly by suppliers/venues through sellar.io, this beer also contributes to a charitable cause. For every keg sold, 50p per pint is donated to akt, an organization dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ youth in finding safety and stability. akt achieves this by facilitating access to secure housing, offering social support, and aiding in pathways to training and employment opportunities.

Speaking about “Class War” lead vocalist Emilia Elfrida said:

“Class War is about the importance of joining a union and holding your workplace and peers to account. Workers rights are being taken away from us at an alarming rate, and the best way to combat this is with collective bargaining and activism. It also comments on unions largely being controlled by old white men, and the push needed to move away from this. Women's rights are workers rights. Always support strikers, and never cross a picket line.”

The Menstrual Cramps have also secured spots at some of the hottest festivals this year, including The Great Escape, TRUCK Festival, and Bearded Theory. Plus, they've announced a string of headline dates across the UK for 2024, along with appearances at Manchester Punk Festival, Outer Town Festival, and 2000 Trees Festival.

With their latest single, The Menstrual Cramps continue to champion social justice causes while delivering their signature blend of punk rock e
