Warped Tour is Back: 30th-anniversary celebration to hit three cities in 2025

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for—the return of the iconic Vans Warped Tour, and it’s got us feeling like teenagers again. While it's not a full-blown tour across the country, the 30th anniversary promises to pack a nostalgic punch with three major two-day festivals lined up for 2025. The announcement that the legendary event would be making stops in Washington, D.C., Long Beach, CA, and Orlando, FL has already sent waves through the scene, and we couldn't be more stoked.

For those of us who grew up with the Warped Tour as a summer rite of passage, this feels like coming home. From discovering bands in the blistering heat to sharing water bottles with complete strangers, Warped was more than just a festival—it was a community. Now, after its “final” run in 2018, and a brief one-off event in 2019 to celebrate 25 years, the Warped Tour is making its comeback. And it's as if no time has passed.

The 2025 return, while not the coast-to-coast marathon we grew up with, is more than a nostalgia trip. It promises something fresh for both long-time fans and newcomers. While full lineups are yet to be announced, it’s safe to say that we'll see both festival favourites and new blood sharing the stage with a lineup of 70 to 100 bands per stop. The festival has always been a launching pad for emerging talent, and 2025 aims to keep that tradition alive, giving the spotlight to the next generation of punk, emo, and alternative acts.

Teaming up with Insomniac Events—the minds behind massive festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival—Warped is set to combine its raw DIY roots with immersive, modern festival experiences. Imagine the classic energy of a Warped pit but with Insomniac’s unparalleled production magic thrown into the mix. The locations alone—RFK Festival Grounds in D.C., Downtown Long Beach’s Shoreline Waterfront, and Orlando’s Camping World Stadium Campus—are built for a party, promising picturesque settings to match the chaos of a mosh pit.

Kevin Lyman, the mastermind behind Warped, explained his decision to bring the festival back:

“People are craving connection, live music, and the raw, unfiltered experience that Warped has always offered.”

And he’s not wrong. Warped Tour has always been about community, and the 2025 version is set to deliver on that front too. Expect the return of nonprofit booths, interactive art installations, and the legendary Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, which will undoubtedly unearth some future festival favourites. With sponsors like Vans, Ernie Ball, and GHOST® Energy supporting the event, there’s plenty to look forward to beyond the music.

Warped Tour’s 30th anniversary dates:

  • Washington, D.C.: June 14-15, 2025 (RFK Festival Grounds)

  • Long Beach, CA: July 26-27, 2025 (Downtown Long Beach Shoreline Waterfront)

  • Orlando, FL: November 15-16, 2025 (Camping World Stadium Campus)

Tickets for the Vans Warped Tour 2025 will be available for purchase starting on October 24th. Prices for a full weekend pass will start at $149.98, which includes $119.99 for the ticket and an additional $29.99 in fees. Fans can secure their passes early through presale, giving them access to both days of the festival at their chosen location. More information on ticket sales and packages can be found on the official Warped Tour website.

Though it may be a slimmed-down version of the coast-to-coast marathon we grew up with, Warped Tour’s 30th anniversary feels like a celebration of everything that made it great in the first place.
