VENUS GRRRLS announce UK tour with new single “Bloodsick”

Leeds/Newcastle-based goth rockers VENUS GRRRLS have amped up the excitement with the release of their transformative new single "Bloodsick" and the announcement of their debut UK headline tour set for September.

Following their triumphant headline performance at The Brudenell Social Club in Leeds and the success of their previous single "Divine," the band continues to assert their dominance in the UK rock scene.

Describing "Bloodsick" as a goth-grunge anthem with early riot grrrl influences, VENUS GRRRLS explores themes of change and metamorphosis. Recorded by Sugar House and mixed/mastered by Grammy-nominated Romesh Dodangoda, the track features cascading riffs, synth motifs, and lead singer GK's commanding vocals, creating a captivating sonic experience.

GK sheds light on the inspiration behind "Bloodsick," explaining:

“It is a grief of what once was, that transcends into a bittersweet liberation of a new body, or way of living both physically and emotionally.”

The song represents a departure from their previous sound, yet it retains the band's signature narrative talent and dreamy aesthetic.

VENUS GRRRLS have also announced their partnership with stem cell transplant charity Anthony Nolan for their upcoming headline tour. The band aims to raise awareness about stem cell donation and encourage fans to join the stem cell register. Charlotte Cunliffe, Director of Register Development at Anthony Nolan, expressed excitement about the collaboration, highlighting the potential impact on patients with blood cancer and blood disorders.

VENUS GRRRLS has been on an upward trajectory since the release of "Divine," receiving acclaim from BBC Radio 1 and various music publications. With sold-out shows, festival appearances, and a growing fan base, the band is set to make a significant mark in the music scene. Don't miss your chance to catch VENUS GRRRLS live on tour and experience their electrifying performances firsthand.
